Majesto Returns in 7th at Gulfstream

The field for Friday's seventh race at Gulfstream will include  Majesto, the  horse that finished  second in last year's Florida  Derby  (Grade  1) at Gulfstream.

The race is  1 1/16 miles  on dirt for 3-year-olds  and up. 

It has  a  $43,000 purse and a $25,000 optional claiming price.   Majesto is  not in for a tag. There are seven entrants following the scratch of Only in America.

Edgard Zayas will ride Majesto for  trainer  Gustavo Delgado and owner  Grupo 7C Racing.




It will be  Majesto's first start since  last July 25, when he finished seventh in the 1 1/8 mile Curlin Stakes at Saratoga.

Veterinarians later found that her had an upper respiratory infection. Trainer Gustavo Delgado then decided  to  give the colt an extended break  from racing.

Edgard Zayas will ride Majesto today for Delgado  and  owners  Grupo 7C Racing.

Chiseled  and Grey Beau also are top contenders.
