Nick the Cardshark, an impressive winner, in his first two carer starts, is the likely favorite in today's eighth and feature race at Gulfstream.
It is six furlongs on dirt for 3-year-olds with a $43,00 purse and a $75,000 optional claiming price.
Nick the Cardshark is in the outside post 6. Several other win candidates also have speed and are inside Nick the Cardshark.
They are Francesco Appeal, Chatiment and Field Trip.
Edgard Zayas rode Nick the Cardshark in a six-furlong optional/claimer win on April 7 at Gulfstream. He has the return mount for trainer Angel Rodriguez and owner Frank Carl Calabrese.
