Pretty Prrfection Wins Captiva Island

Pretty Perfection held off a late rally by Brandy's Girl to win Saturday's  $75,000 Captiva Island Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Ruby Nation finished third in the 5-furlong turf stakes for 4-year-olds and up.

The $2 exacta paid $27.20

Pretty Perfection won in the fast time of 54.27 seconds on the course listed as firm.  Nik Juarez rode the 5-year-old Pretty Perfection for trainer Kelly Breen and owner Stoneway Farm.  She was the 3-2 favorite in a seven-horse field.

In her previous start, Pretty Perfection won the $125,000 Gulfstream Fillies and Mare Sprint at five furlongs on turf  on Jan. 28.
