Super Hi-5 Hit for $117,059; Zito Horse FinishesThird

The carried-over Super Hi-5 was hit for $117,059 in the seventh race at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday.

There was one winning ticket on the $1 minimum bet.

The carryover going in was $28,413.60. Bettors added $108,104 to the pool.



Malagacy, at 5-1, won by 15 lengths in the 5 1/2 furlong MSW race for 3-year-olds.  Javier Castellano rode the first-time starter for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Malagacy, a  son of Shackleford, led at every call and won in  the fast time of 1:03.60 on the track listed as sloppy.

A key to the  big payoff was Into Belief, at 53-1, finishing second.

The Nick Zito  trained Lenstar finished third.

Hall of Fame trainer Zito gained his 1,999th career win with Majestic Kindness in Wednesday's third race.  On Thursday at Gulfstream, he has one horse entered in the first race and one entered in the tenth race.
