Gulfstream Monday Card Starts at Noon

Gulfstream Park has a special eleven-race card today, to commemorate the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
First post is 12:00 p.m.

The first race has a Super Hi-5 carryover of 8,506.34.  It is a $1 minimum bet that requires picking the first five finishers in correct order, with no consolation payoffs.

The first race is a starter allowance at seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-old fillies, with a $36,000 purse

There are nine entrants.  There is still time, so we will leave the handicapping to you.

There is a $16,790.59 carryover on the Rainbow 6.  It is on races six through eleven.

The tenth race feature is an allowance/optional claimer at 1 1/16 miles on turf, for Florida-bred four-year-olds and up.  The purse is $40,000 and the optional price is $16,000.

Conditions are fast and firm.  The Weather Channel forecast is for a chance of rain ranging between five percent and 15 percent during racing hours.

We will have coverage during the afternoon on this blog.
