Chalky Start for Rainbow 6 at GulfstreamTB

Betting is heavy in today's late race exotics at Gulfstream Park, and thus far low-odds horses are keeping bettors alive.

Not Today (program number 7) won the sixth race at 2-1 to start the Rainbow 6.

The carryover coming in was $75,311.  Bettors added $135,541 to the Rainbow 6 pool.

Not Today beat the 6-5 favorite Sinatra by five lengths in the 7 1/2 furlong turf race, a  $16,000 claimer, for 4-year-olds and up.

Not Today won in the fast time of 1:29.41. Tyler Gaffalione rode Not Today for trainer Carlo Vaccarezza.

Adagio, the even money favorite, won the seventh race to start the Late Pick 5.  Betting on the sequence was $247,541.

The race was a 5 1/2 furlong maiden claimer ($12,500) for 3-year-olds.  Adagio (program number 5) won in 1:05.41 with Edgard Zayas riding for trainer Antonio Sano.
