Always Dreaming Romps to Maiden Win

Always Dreaming lived up to some big expectations on Wednesday as he won by 11 1/2 lengths in a $22,500 maiden special weight race for 3-year-olds at Tampa Bay Downs.

Always Dreaming ran the one mile and 40 yard race in  1:40.54, very good for a lightly-raced 3-year-old, on the track listed as fast.

John Velazquez made a trip across state from Gulfstream Park to ride  the colt Always Dreaming for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Watch Your Words, a first-time starter trained by Pletcher, finished second in the nine-horse field and was  ridden by Jesus  Castanon.

It was the third start for Always Dreaming, whose sire is Bodemeister, He finished third at 5 1/2 furlongs last July 1 at  Belmont and second at six furlongs at Saratoga on Aug.  20,

Always Dreaming is owned by a partnership  of  MeB Stables, Teresa Viola Stables, St Elias Stales and Brooklyn Boyz.

St. Elias Stables owns Watch Your Words.
