Gypsy Eyes took the lead heading into the far turn and went on to win the $75,000 Cellars Shiraz Stakes at the Gulfstream Park West meet, held at Calder.
Dream Prospect rallied from back in the pack to finish second in the 13-horse field. Temple Fur finished third.
Gypsy Eyes won the one mile turf stakes in 1:40.17 on the course listed as good following late morning rain.
Gypsy Eyes, the 2-1 favorite, was ridden by Lane Luzzi for trainer Patrick Biancone.
The win was the second in two U.S. starts for the 3-year-old Gypsy Eyes, who began her career in England, where she won one of five starts.
