Francesco Appeal, the even-money favorite, beat 5-1 Red Crescent by 2 1/2 in Sunday's seventh race at Gulfstream.
Lane Luzzi rode Francesco Appeal in the six furlong dirt race for 2-year-olds.
Francesco Appeal, trained by Larry Pilotti, has won two of his three starts. In his other race he finished third behind unbeaten Three Rules in the Birdonthewire Stakes at Gulfstream.
