Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Carryover at $44,632

Gulfstream Park will have a carryover of $144,632.06 on its Rainbow 6 on Friday.

First post is 1:15 p.m. for the ten-race card.  The Rainbow 6 is on races five through ten.

The first race will have a carryover of $1,975.71 on the Super Hi-5, which requires selecting the first five finishers in a race in correct order.

The Rainbow 6 carryover continues because Thursday was the eleventh straight race day without the carryover/jackpot requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.

There were multiple tickets with  six winners and each received $613.28.  The relatively small payout was partly due to a deadheat in the sixth race.

It was between Scandlskeepcoming at 6-1 and Evelyn’s Dream, the 3-2 favorite.

The carryover coming in was $130,147.  Bettors added $60,376 to the Rainbow 6 pool.

Gulfstream took out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. It divided 56 percent among tickets with six winners and put 24 percent into the carryover

The Rainbow 6  is a 20-cent per combination only bet, Bettors can use multiple horses in each race and thus have multiple combinations.

There were no winning Super Hi-5 tickets on Thursday’s ninth and final race. There are no consolation payoffs such as the first four places.

Thus the Super Hi-5 bets on that race rolled over.
Gulfstream has the bet on all races with seven or more starters.

Friday’s first race has nine entrants and is six furlongs on dirt for 3-year-olds and up.  It a  $6,250 claiming race with a $15,000 purse.
