Gelfenstein Wins First Leg of Late Pick 5G

Gelfenstein, at 6-1, fought off an early challenge from Sugar Daddy and went on to win the seventh race--starting the Late Pick 5 at Gulfstream.

Gelfenstein, owned by namesake Gelfenstein Farm, won the 7 1/2 furlong turf race in 1:28.73 on the course listed as firm.  The  race was a $10,000 claimer for 3-YOs and up.

Emisael Jaramillo rode Gelfenstein for trainer Gilberto Zerpa.

If  you want a speed horse in the eighth race, it could be Che Quirido.  The downside is that he has the difficullt 12 hole.
