Gulfstream Park began a new Rainbow 6 pool on Wednesday, and bettors put $31,022 into it.
The first two legs, fourth and fifth races, were won by Cowboy's Princess at 22-1 and Starship Tammy at 2-1.
The feature eighth race is 1 1/16 miles on turf, an allowance/optional claimer with a $43,000 purse.
Lucky Kitten, trained by David Fawkes and ridden by Emisael Jaramillo, and Persuasive, trained by Ronny Werner and ridden by Tyler Gaffalione, head the field.
It is down to eight horses following the scratches of Copingaway and Titanium Heart.
Copingaway won last Saturday's $75,000 English Channel Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on turf at Gulfsream. His trainer Jaime Mejia had entered him in this afternoon's race several hours before the English Channel.
