Me Llamo Sam at 6-1 edged Starship Apache by a nose in Gulfstream Park's third race to start the Rainbow 6.
Bettors added $77,467 to the pool. The carryover coming in was $156,106.
The third race was a $12,500 claimer at six furlongs on dirt. Pedro Monterey Jr. rode Me Llamo Sam for trainer Dennis Griffith.
