The champion turf mare Tepin will be back at Tampa Bay Downs on Saturday as one of 10 entrants in the Hillsborough Stakes (Grade 2).
The Hillsborough is 1-1/8 miles on turf for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up. Tepin made her first 2016 start at Tampa Bay Downs on Feb. 13, winning the Endeavour Stakes (Grade 3) at 1 1/16 miles on turf.
Regular jockey Julien Leparoux will ride Tepin for trainer Mark Casse. Last year Tepin won the Breeders' Cup Mile (Grade 1) at Keeneland in a field that included males. She later was voted winner of the Eclipse Award for turf females.
