Tampa Bay Downs will be not have live racing today. The Oldsmar track’s next race day will be Wednesday, with nine races and first post of 12:27 p.m.
On Saturday, Factory of Faith beat Watch This Cat by a nose in the feature seventh race. It was a $23,000 allowance at one mile on turf for fillies and mares 3-ters-old and up.
Factory of Faith, at 7-1 odds, was in fifth place entering the stretch. She then began passing horses and held off a late run by Watch This Cat.
Factory of Faith, a 3-year-old, was ridden by Victor Lebron and won in the solid time of 1:36.33 for trainer William “Buff” Bradley. Antonio Gallardo rode the 3-year-old Watch This Cat for trainer Monte Thomas
The win was the third in 14 career starts for Factory of Faith, a daughter of Bluegrass Cat, and her second win on turf at Tampa Bay Downs.
